PUBLISHER: International Women’s Health Coalition (IWHC)
This fact sheet reviews women’s vulnerability to HIV/AIDS, focusing particularly
on young women. Many women and young people do not have access to the
information and services they need to protect themselves from HIV infection.
Women’s vulnerability is increased by marriage, sex work, injecting drug use,
being the partner of an injecting drug user, a student, and violent or coercive
sex.
